These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Skoosh, operated by Laraworks Commerce ("we", "us", "our"), including the Skoosh web application and the Free Invoice Generator (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, checking “I agree” at registration, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Questions: [email protected]
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
If you use Skoosh on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.
2. The Service
2.1 Skoosh accounts
Skoosh helps trades and small businesses manage invoicing, jobs, clients, payment follow-ups, and review requests. Features vary by plan (Free, Starter, Pro Trader, Agency, Business, or custom arrangements). Plan limits and features are described on our pricing page and may change with reasonable notice.
We may add, change, suspend, or remove features. Some capabilities described on our website (for example certain debt-collection workflows) may be planned or limited to specific plans and may not yet be available in the product.
2.2 Free Invoice Generator
The Free Invoice Generator is a standalone tool that does not require a Skoosh account. Important points:
- Drafts and logos are stored in your browser unless you clear them
- When you download a PDF, invoice data is sent to our servers only to generate the file; we do not keep your invoice content afterwards
- Use is subject to rate limits and bot protection
- Public reviews you submit are moderated; we may approve, reject, or delete them
- The tool is provided free of charge and as-is for creating PDF invoices
Installing the Invoice Generator as an app (PWA) may cache pages on your device for offline use.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe’s terms where applicable.
- Fees are shown at checkout and may change for new subscriptions after notice
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled
- You can cancel or schedule account closure through billing settings; access may continue until the end of the paid period
- Taxes may apply depending on your location
- Refunds are handled according to our billing practices and applicable law (contact us if you believe a charge is incorrect)
Failure to pay may result in downgrade, suspension, or loss of paid features.
4. Stripe Connect (customer payments)
If you enable Stripe Connect, card payments from your customers are processed by Stripe and paid out to your connected bank account according to Stripe’s rules. Skoosh does not hold customer funds.
You are responsible for:
- Completing Stripe onboarding accurately
- Stripe fees, chargebacks, and compliance with Stripe’s terms
- Accurate pricing, receipts, refunds, and tax obligations on your sales
We are not a party to the contract between you and your customer.
5. Your content and responsibilities
You retain ownership of content you upload or enter (client details, invoices, job photos, logos, etc.). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and transmit that content only as needed to operate the Service (for example sending an invoice email or generating a PDF).
You agree that:
- You have the right to use and share the content you upload
- Your client and marketing emails comply with PECR, UK GDPR, and other applicable laws (including valid permission to email clients)
- Invoice and review content is lawful, accurate, and not misleading
- You will not upload malware, illegal material, or content that infringes others’ rights
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to the Service or others.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Abuse, probe, or overload the Service (including circumventing rate limits or Turnstile)
- Use the Service for fraud, spam, or unlawful purposes
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your business
- Scrape or reverse-engineer the Service except where law permits
- Resell the Service without our written agreement
We may investigate abuse and cooperate with law enforcement where required.
7. Email and SMS
Skoosh sends email on your behalf (invoices, reminders, review requests). You are the sender in relation to your clients. We provide the tooling only.
SMS functionality may be introduced or disabled in the future. If enabled, additional terms and fees may apply.
8. Reviews (Free Invoice Generator)
Reviews submitted on the Free Invoice Generator:
- Must be honest and based on genuine experience
- Are moderated before public display
- May be rejected or removed at our discretion
- Are limited to one review per email address
- Grant us a licence to display approved reviews on our website and marketing (with your display name and review text)
Do not include confidential or third-party personal data in reviews.
9. Teams and invitations
Skoosh supports business/team profiles. Team member features may be plan-limited. You are responsible for users who access your team workspace.
10. Customer portals
Signed links (invoice view, payment, job evidence) expire after the period shown in the product. Share links only with intended recipients. You are responsible for the sensitivity of job evidence and invoice data you expose via links.
11. Intellectual property
Skoosh, its branding, software, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service—only a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use it according to your plan.
Feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation.
12. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties (including Stripe, Cloudflare Turnstile, and optionally Google Gemini for AI features). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages or acts.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- That invoices, reminders, or reviews will result in payment or specific business outcomes
- Legal or tax correctness of documents you generate—you should verify amounts, VAT, and wording with your adviser if needed
The Free Invoice Generator is a document tool, not accounting, legal, or tax advice.
14. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Subject to that, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
Our total liability arising from the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for Skoosh in that period, or (b) £100, except where law requires otherwise.
15. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your client communications, your use of Stripe Connect, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law—except to the extent caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or create risk for the Service or others.
You may close your account at any time through account/billing settings. On closure, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by nature should survive (liability limits, indemnity, governing law) will survive.
We may retain data as described in our Privacy Policy.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version on this page and update the date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. For material changes, we may provide additional notice.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also have mandatory rights under local law.
